How do I get to Plaisted Camps?

​We charter our Float Plane from Fort McMurray, Alberta Canada. Mcmurray Aviation provides the airfare. Guests must provide own transportation to and from Fort McMurray, AB. Once in Fort McMurray, your package with us will cover your float plane transportation.
Commercial Airfare is available to Fort McMurray, AB.
*If flying please schedule flight home for sunday after return, weather may delay flight times to and from camp*
Is the float plane airfare included in price?
Yes! Airfare to and from camp from Fort McMurray, AB is provided in your package price.
Is there a weight limit for the float plane flight?
Yes, There is a 50lb weight limit for each passenger on the float plane trip. This limit includes your clothing, fishing gear, and any alcoholic beverages you choose to bring with you. If you are over the weight restriction, you will be asked to leave items at the float base. Additional flights used to cover over weight cargo will be used at the guests expense.
Due to our extremely high returning guest rate, bookings for future year start immediately following the current years fishing season! This allows current guests first chance at retaining their trip for the following year!
What time does the plane take off?
The plane leaves McMurray Aviation Airport at 9:00am on departure date, plane will arrive back at the airport at approximately 1:00pm on return date.
Can I take fish home?
Yes! Plaisted Camps will clean, package, and freeze your fish. Please bring a cooler or purchase one in Fort McMurray for travel home.
Where can I buy a fishing license?
You must buy your license before arriving at camp. Online (Click Here)
What is a proper amount for Guide Gratuity?
​A good starting point is 10% of trip price. Cash is appreciated for the guides!
Can I book a year in advance?
Is my deposit refundable?
Deposits are fully refundable to January 1, of your trip year.
