Ralph Plaisted's Mission
​​Ralph Plaisted settled on the property of Russell Lake as a place for him and his family to experience the great outdoors. The family fell in love with the area and decided that friends and family needed to experience it as well. This experience is what keeps guests coming back to Plaisted Camps fish camp, a one of a kind Saskatchewan fishing lodge.
Plaisted Camps provides guests with an unforgettable Fly-To Canadian fishing trip! What makes a trip to Plaisted Camps so special? That is a good question; maybe it is the 150 mile float plane ride to and from camp. How about the one of a kind log cabins built from trees surrounding Russell Lake. It could be the unmatched fishing quality of Russell Lake and the Wheeler River.
Fly-In Fishing Trip
There is no better way to start a fishing trip than to hop on board a float plane and arrive right at the dock. Transwest Air and the Waterbase Inn provide all float plane transportation to Plaisted Camps! Don't forget your Camera for this 150 mile flight!
Authentic Log Cabins
Each of our cabins were custom built by Ralph Plaisted and his friends from trees surrounding Russell Lake. Our cabins sleep anywhere from 2, to 6 guests comfortably! Each cabin provides guests with all linens, refrigerator, wood stove, and 12V lighting.
Russell Lake and Several Day Use Lakes
Once in camp, one will be shocked by the amount of fishable water available during your trip! Russell Lake is a giant, it is not uncommon to fish upwards of 25 miles from camp on a given day. Not to forget our smaller day use lakes! Plaisted camps has several day use lakes available to guests. These lakes offer excellent fishing with different scenery to our guests. The Lost Lake Chain is a must do for all guests at camp!
